Hi!

Sorry for english, but my German is so crappy that I don't want to insult you with my effort in writing (google translating it)

Why is there so few LHD supras for sale in germany ? Are you guys holding on to them because you are so happy with them or do you sell them in another way than autoscout / mobile.de ?

I've been scouting the market in Germany / Europe ~1.5-2 years now.
Not many that I can find. I mean in this forum (is it the biggest in Germany?) there are not many LHD beeing sold?
Or am I mistaken?

Hope you understand what I'm writing haveaniceday.png

Hi Markus,

yes, this is the biggest MKIV forums in Germany. The LHD´s are getting rarer and rarer, so it´s pretty hard/impossible to find an example in good condition (especially 6spd). I also noticed, that the marked was getting more and more difficult in the last months and years (regarding to LHD cars)...

What exactly are you searching for? 6spd in original condition? low milage (forget about that...)? Project car for restauration? What´s your budget?

Cheers

Andy

Hi Guys. Thanks for your input

I bought Stefans (just2fast) old car. that one was in very good condition (will try to buy it back from the guy I sold it to) That one was really fast and well maintained. One of the nicest car I've ever seen and owned. I had to sell it when I bought a house and became a dad. But now I'm back on the Supra train once more..

Looking for a BPU car, mileage is not important , just the condition of the car, it has to be a 6-speed. Not sure on what to spend, the cars in Sweden are usually less expensive than the german cars. but 26-30k Euro maybe? In my experience the cars that are low milage are not always better than the cars beeing driven long, the ones with lots of miles are usually just as good. I want a black one. But any color is OK, will probably respray it later on if it's a good car and I'm happy with it.

The problem with buying a single turbo Supra that I have to import is that it is hard to get through TÜV here in Sweden, you have to make them stock again and then try to get them through, so lot's of work.. And costly if I don't get the stock parts with the car

Do you guys know any nice cars that might be for sale?

/Markus

There are only like 200 LHDs left in Germany because you Scandinavian guys already bought all them out grin.png Also only around a third of all Supras sold in Germany are MT. That's why it's so tough to find one

Haha I know haveaniceday.png

If it wasn't so hard with the language I would have bought more cars from .de , you seem to take care of them very well.
In Sweden they also salt the roads in the wintertime so the cars sometimes look terrible just in a few years!

We don't call it TÜV , we call it "Car inspection" (Bilprovning) I was just referring it as TÜV so you would understand what I meant haveaniceday.png

When you first register a car here , you have to have all the correct papers (of course) and the cars need to be stock , you cannot mod it , if the guy that performs the registration of the car notices this, he will not pass the car. They check the VIN number and all other info about the car, how many turbos and so on.

When it's through initial registration, once every year we have to take it to the inspection and they will test the brakes, chassis, measure exhaust pollution levels and other safety features of the car. (also tests suspension and chassi compontens, a good thing!) If you just have a car that is looking good and is road worthy and not that "flashy " , you can pass the inspection even though you have a single turbo or highly modded car. I've driven straight through this inspection with my old 600hp Audi S2 without any issues at all!

Can't really remember when I saw the last "reasonable" priced 6-speed Supra for sale here...very rare these days.
This was your old Supra, right?

Just thought of it when I read your nickname.

To get an automatic Supra and swap out the transmission wouldn't be an option for you?

Yes that is me (or the Robot XD.png ) driving my car.. I miss it!! I had just been in a race, 11.61 with BPU setup. Pretty fast. With full interior and stereo. I have a few more youtube videos where I film that car. It was truly amazing

Auto swap MIGHT be something , but first I'm looking for a 6-speed one. A 6-speed swap is quite expensive..

Yeah I regret that I didn't make more movies when I had the car. But that just motivates me more to buy a Supra again!

Hehe good to hear that you liked that one haveaniceday.png
I was going home, had a tent in the luggage (and my spacers for my slicks, you can here the "glass shatter sound" when I hit the brakes the first time) it was packed with equipment and clothes , we slept in a tent for two days and then raced. A cool memory haveaniceday.png

If you know any 6-speed beeing sold, please notify me here or by PM, would be really appreciated!
Have to study some more german so I can stay more active on this forum too haveaniceday.png

Why not try with a RHD Supra Turbo, 6-Speed Manual?
